Under the eGhana component,there are three matching grant arrangements or windows: The objective of the Training Matching Grants is to support the market for training in the IT-enabled services (ITES) sector in Ghana by providing incentives to public and private institutions for training trainers and professionals in key segments of the business process offshoring (BPO) sector. This will require adopting a uniform set of ITES skill set standards that can strengthen Ghana’s capacity to guarantee a quality workforce. The training for job aspirants as well as current employees will cover basic forms of training that have emerged as a necessity for working in the ITES/BPO basic sectors of medical transcription, data entry and processing and call centres, such as: voice and accent, cross culture sensitization, soft skills, basic and advanced computer operating skills, etc. Read eligibility criterial The objective is to provide output-based subsidies to up to 3 business incubators or similar public or private institutions that facilitate local innovation and entrepreneurship by incubating and developing new businesses with activities related to the ITES/BPO. Read eligibility criterial Quality Assurance matching grants The objective is to support one eligible public or private institution selected on a competitive basis to set up a shared facility for software testing in Ghana. This facility will provide support to local ICT SMEs in obtaining international certification.
